THE POWER PLAYS (THEATRE UNCUT)

5 BRAND NEW SHORT PLAYS BY WOMEN ON POWER.

As the world rocks with fierce debate around gender politics Theatre Uncut have brought together a group of the UK’s most dynamic voices to explore the theme of power from the female perspective. The playwrights are: Niellah Arboine (Gal Dem), Sharon Clark (Bruntwood Prize Judges Award), Vivienne Franzmann (Mogadishu, Pests, Bodies), Cordelia Lynn (Lela & Co), Suhaiymah Manzoor Khan (Roundhouse Poetry Slam Finalist), Sabrina Mahfouz (A Little Bit of Luck), and Atiha Sen Gupta (What Fatima Did, Counting Stars).

This collection of rehearsed readings of Theatre Uncut’s ‘The Power Plays’ is presented by Down Stage Write, a South West based theatre company committed to providing development and production opportunities for new writing in Devon and Cornwall, and is supported by Theatre Royal Plymouth.
