Following the extraordinary reaction to their haunting cathedral tour ‘Sanctuary’, Show of Hands return to the theatre and concert circuit on a quest to reveal a fuller sound for the trio’s bold new studio album. ‘Joint Venture’ features intriguing collaborations with the likes of Afro Celt Sound System’s Johnny Kalsi, and folk/reggae band Edward the Second.

The Show of Hands line-up of Steve Knightley, Phil Beer and Miranda Sykes looks a little different for their 2018 Joint Venture tour. Miranda and husband Dan are expecting their first baby in November, and so Cormac Byrne (legendary percussionist of Seth Lakeman Band fame) steps into the breach to complete the Show of Hands autumn trio and give it a fresh new sound. Expect the festival favourites along with songs from the bands’s upcoming album ‘Joint Venture’.

In order to mark the ending of the Great War one hundred years ago to the day, Show of Hands are including a special WW1 Remembrance set at the Theatre Royal Plymouth. Featuring the haunting voices of Dartmoor’s Lost sound choir and a local song writer Chris Hoban, this fifty minute opening set will reprise songs from the bands never to be forgotten concert an Exeter Cathedral in 2016.
