Details

Life ain’t too good for the Kneebones up United Downs. The family are skint. The debtors are closing in. The future’s secure as an uncapped mine shaft.

With ‘er two troublesome brothers at each other’s throats, it’s up to Maddy to save the day. Her only hope? To win the United Downs Boneshaker stock car race. But first she needs to fix up her father’s old wheels – the legendary Kneebone Cadillac. Soon, Maddy’s impossible plan sets the whole community on a collision course for chaos!

The Kneebone Cadillac is a careening new Cornish comedy from the team who brought you Grand Guignol, Horse Piss For Blood, and this year’s Drum hit, 49 Donkeys Hanged.

Writers Response Night

We invited Playwrights from across Devon and Cornwall to attend an early performance of The Kneebone Cadillac. The writers were then given 48 hours to write a short play in response to the show. This week a selection of these short plays will be staged following the Performance on Thursday the 29th of November.

We were delighted with the scope and creativity of the responses and are very pleased to be staging the following Short plays:

ON TOP OF KEEPSAKE MOUNTAIN by Sam Parker

BADLANDS by Katherine Stevens

FASTER, FASTER, FASTER by James-Eden Hutchinson

The staged readings will take place following the performance on Thursday the 29th November and are open to anyone watching the evening’s performance.
