The Lab

Set in rural Devon, Beth has recently returned home and finds herself reaching out to a community that is being steadily dismantled. In a political climate where London and the regions seem worlds apart, Bethan is trying to straddle the gulf.

COW explores the transition to a particular stage of adulthood when parents are no longer around, encompassing themes of loss, community and the role of women in rural society.

Both funny and heart-wrenching, featuring playful physicality and Bethan’s quirky and engaging storytelling manner, COW takes us on a journey which fate and chance have their own way of steering.

Running time: 1hr (approx.)
Age guidance: tbc

There is strength in the writing and power in the story being told, of a changing way of life, of grief and the things it does to people.
