Inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest, Wave explores the relationship between a parent and their offspring as they reach adulthood and leave home. It is written for an audience of teenagers and adults with severe learning disabilities along with their companions.

Performed for small audiences in a specifically designed space, and featuring live music, singing and digital projection, this play offers a unique experience rich in action, colour, sound, touch and emotion.

A vibrant multi-sensory play for young people and adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and autism. Wave is the follow up to White Peacock (as seen at our Pop-up Theatre in 2013).

“It was a profoundly moving experience and absolutely fantastic to see how engaged the audience was with the story.” Royal Shakespeare Company
