A military career is more than just a job, it’s a way of life. Not just for those who go away and serve, but also for the ones they leave behind.

Looking beyond the drama of the frontline, Boots at the Door is a funny and poignant play that explores what it means to be a hero – both in the field and at home.

Forging a brand new theatre company, members of Plymouth’s Armed Forces Community have developed this show from scratch, based on their own experiences and stories. Boots at the Door offers a rare opportunity to see them in a new light.

Based on a play by Jonathan Lewis Boots at the Door is being created by the Theatre Royal Plymouth in partnership with Bravo 22 Company – The Royal British Legion’s Recovery through Theatre programme.

Bravo 22 Company was created by Alice Driver for the Theatre Royal Haymarket Masterclass Trust and launched in partnership with The Royal British Legion and the Defence Recovery Capability in 2011.

A post show Q&A will take place after each performance.
