Two young men are held hostage by their home town – one by Civil War siege, another by economic downturn. 350 years apart, these two young men search for the soul of their provincial city. Both find shadows of each other’s lives cast over their own, in a city they always assumed they’d leave.
Originally commissioned by Paines Plough and Theatre Royal Plymouth as part of Come to Where I’m From.
Running time: 45 mins
This July Theatre Royal Plymouth presents the first ever Forge season: seven experimental and exciting new pieces from both established and emerging theatre makers. A hopeless radio show, explorations of Jewish heritage, technological revolutions, tales of unemployment, a crazy week of Robin Thicke and ignoring your energy supplier: Forge is a unique opportunity to experience inventive new work in an intimate new venue.
