The Lab

“And we believe that people who work hard and do the right thing should be rewarded.” – The Conservative Party

Eli’s been made redundant by the council, he can’t hold a conversation for more than four minutes but can make a lime and soda last three hours.

Jem’s stacking shelves on the Workfare scheme and creating a recipe book of comfort food for when the world is falling on your head and you’re ignoring British Gas.

This was not the plan for the future.

Running time: 55 mins

Recommended for ages 14+

About Forge

This July Theatre Royal Plymouth presents the first ever Forge season: seven experimental and exciting new pieces from both established and emerging theatre makers. A hopeless radio show, explorations of Jewish heritage, technological revolutions, tales of unemployment, a crazy week of Robin Thicke and ignoring your energy supplier: Forge is a unique opportunity to experience inventive new work in an intimate new venue.
