The Drum

Each year the National Theatre asks ten writers to create new plays for performance by young theatre companies all over the country. From Scotland to Cornwall and Northern Ireland to Norfolk, Connections celebrates great new writing for the stage – and the energy, commitment and talent of young theatre-makers.

The Theatre Royal Plymouth is delighted to be one of 26 venues across the UK hosting a showcase festival. We are hosting companies from across the region with the following taking part:

  • Brannel Theatre Company: The Wardrobe (performed on Saturday)
  • Churston Ferrers Grammar School: Angels (performed on Friday)
  • Cornwall College: Pronoun (performed on Wednesday)
