The Weston Jerwood Creative Bursaries is a nationwide programme supporting arts organisations to expand their approach to diverse recruitment and talent development, and build their capacity for outstanding artistic production. 40 new, paid, entry-level roles in the arts have been created for recent graduates at 39 leading arts organisations nationally and will run until early 2019.
Theatre Royal Plymouth are proud to join this flagship scheme this year and through the support of the Weston Jerwood Creative Bursaries have been able to offer a full time, 12 month paid placement in the Artistic team. Theatre Royal Plymouth are the only organisation to have been invited to create two year-long placements.
Lauren Walsh has joined the team as a Production Assistant.Lauren will spend the year assisting the Production Managers and Producers with our productions and co-productions. Learning about what goes into to creating a show from the start alongside supporting larger touring pieces of theatre, Lauren will be gain a wide plethora of knowledge and experience from her year at Theatre Royal Plymouth

Emma Baskeyfield has also joined the Engagement and Learning team as the Engagement Officer as part of a 12 month paid placement. She will work predominantly on three things within the department: the Development and Diversification of the People’s Company, the PL1 scheme and supporting the Talent Development Programme throughout her time at Theatre Royal Plymouth.
