IdeasLAB is Theatre Royal Plymouth’s platform for the sharing and development of new work, taking place once per season.
If you are an artist or maker with an exciting new idea then we want to hear from you.
As part of IdeasLAB you will be offered space at the theatre to develop your idea, as well as dramaturgical feedback and any support you feel you might need.
After the performance evening, there will be the opportunity for you to receive feedback on the work.
The next IdeasLAB event will take place on Saturday 13th April, development time will be offered during November and December.
If you would like to apply to be part of the next IdeasLAB then please download an application from this page. Your idea must be for a new piece of work, it must not previously have been produced.
The deadline for applications is Monday 4th March, 9:00am.
Any questions, please email email@example.com
The last IdeasLAB event took place in December 2018 and we saw 4 exciting South-West based companies and artists present extracts of their new work. They were: Grinning Idiots with Le Tour De Farce a history of cheating and gender in the Tour de France, Hattie Collins’ new play Order ≥ Chaos on themes of memory and identity, Lucy Bell with LAMINATED exploring the impact on marriage of having a high-needs child, and Emily-Jane Rooney presented Big Girl an auto-biographical stand up/spoken word piece which, in part, looked at body positivity and what life is like growing up as a working class fat woman.Tweet
