The Theatre Royal Plymouth wins The Clothworkers’ award!

We are thrilled to officially announce that we have won the inaugural Clothworkers’ award at the UK Theatre Awards. This award sees us win £150,000 as part of the foundation’s new five-year £1.25 million programme to support the dramatic arts. This award can be used for anything from capital works to sponsoring a touring production and a single award of up to £150,000 will be presented each year to a regional producing theatre in England.

Victoria Allen was at the Awards Ceremony to collect the award and said: “As part of our ongoing strategy to develop our national and international reputation as a creative initiator and producer, this most welcome award will enable us to mount some of our own productions in London over the coming years. We are thrilled to be the first recipient of this award and would like to thank the Clothworkers Foundation for recognising our work in this way.”
