Lend Me A Tenor Nominated for Best Regional Production Award 2010

The Theatre Royal Plymouth production of *_Lend Me A Tenor _*has been nominated for Best Regional Production Award by the What’sOnStage.com Awards 2011.

The production, which opened in Plymouth in September 2010, played to standing ovations and received an overwhelmingly positive response from press and industry critics.

The shortlists for the What’sOnStage.com Awards (the “theatregoers’ choice”) were announced at the beginning of this month, based on nominations made by over 7,000 theatregoers. The awards have moved into the second phase and now invite members of the public to vote online: awards.whatsonstage.com.

Across 26 different award categories, nominees include Rory Kinnear for his portrayal of Hamlet (at the Theatre Royal 8 – 12 Mar) and Hugh Hughes – The Wonderful World of Hugh Hughes (at the Theatre Royal 15 – 19 Mar).

Lend Me A Tenor competes against; Hamlet, Sheffield Crucible; Chess, currently on tour on tour; Antony & Cleopatra, Liverpool Playhouse; 42nd Street, Chichester Festival Theatre and A Raisin in the Sun, Royal Exchange, Manchester.
