The Theatre Royal is delighted to reveal a magnificent new season for 2009.
From sixties Mods and Rockers to Big Friendly Giants and eccentric Victorian writers, there are a host of shows in the Theatre Royal and Drum Theatre to entice you this spring.
It is hard to pick out highlights from such a spectacular and extensive offering, but for drama lovers, the Theatre’s revival of John Wilson’s For King and Country and Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure are highly recommended. We are also proud to announce King Pelican, a new Drum Theatre Production by the exceptionally talented Chris Goode. The new season also includes the world premiere of Quadrophenia, an explosive new stage adaptation of the legendary double album and and a major new tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
With such choice, we hope that everyone will find something to enjoy this season.
