If you’ve ever seen a production at the Theatre Royal Plymouth and wondered what goes on behind the scenes, now is your chance to find out at the Theatre Royal Plymouth Open Day which will take place on Saturday 2nd August from 10am-4pm. The Theatre will be opening its doors and giving people the unique opportunity to explore the Theatre and see how we produce some of the best theatre work in the region.
The day is designed to give people the opportunity to see the complete diversity of creative activities that take place within the Theatre. Throughout the day people will be given the chance to participate in events or just enjoy the busy atmosphere and activity around them in the Theatre bar. There will be representatives from all departments in the Theatre and many opportunities to meet the staff and find out who does what.
There will be a whole host of free workshops, from dance to Shakespeare, backstage tours, performances and demonstrations, ranging from lighting and sound to make-up and costume, taking place in the Theatre Royal and the Drum Theatre all day. The Theatre will be a hive of activity for anyone and everyone wishing to participate.
