To celebrate the launch of
‘A Night Less Ordinary’ - Arts Council England’s new free theatre ticket initiative for 25s and under - the Theatre Royal Plymouth is hosting an
Open Stage Week between the 16th and 21st February 2009.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about what really goes on behind the scenes at the Theatre Royal and how you could get involved.
Please note, advanced booking is required as most events have a limited capacity.

- Backstage Tours will be running throughout the week at both the Theatre Royal (WED > SAT) and TR2 (MON > SAT). Free return-transport is provided to TR2 from the Theatre Royal.
- Drama Workshops - six different workshops covering everything from Clowning to Stage Combat will be running throughout the week in the Pennon Room at the Theatre Royal. Age guideline: 12 - 25.
- Technical & Wardrobe Workshops will run from WED > FRI in the Drum Theatre and backstage wardrobe areas.

- Dare to be Different is a regular weekly workshop for refugees and asylum seekers, run by our Creative Learning department at TR2, which we're opening up to anyone who'd like to come and take part on TUE 17 from 6.30pm - 8.30pm. Free return-transport is provided from the Theatre Royal to TR2 at 6pm if required.

Ever wondered who works at the Theatre Royal, what jobs they do and what each Department does?
This is a unique chance for you to meet members of the Theatre Royal team, find out about their role in the organisation and ask any questions you may have - career related or otherwise. This is an informal drop-in session, so just turn up at the Theatre Royal any time between 6pm and 8pm.
