People's Company Productions

The People's Company regularly puts on full-scale and black box style productions in the Drum Theatre, and it's free for all members to audition and take part. We are normally always looking for people to volunteer backstage as well as to be cast members so productions are not just for actors!

We normally run auditions for productions as a workshop, sometimes with individual sessions or interviews as well, to find out more about why people want to take part and their commitment to each project. We do recommend coming to weekly workshops before auditioning, to get to know the Company better and find out how we work, but you don't have to have a lot of experience or be highly skilled already to take part in People's Company productions. The most important things are enthusiasm and commitment and we try and make the whole process as unintimidating as possible! We can't of course guarantee everyone a place everytime, but we do cast as inclusively as we can and try and make sure everyone who wants to take part will get their chance eventually.
