We believe that theatre needs to be fresh, challenging and innovative; it is vital that young people have a powerful voice and presence in a theatre if these qualities are to thrive.
So whether you want to perform - be that singing, acting or dancing, or indeed all three! - design and make for theatre, or work behind the scenes, there are opportunities throughout the year to get involved.
If you are between the ages of 5 and 25 years you can become a member of the Young Company. As a member you can take part in a changing season of activities including one off and ongoing workshops, as well as the chance to audition for Young Company productions in the Drum Theatre or be part of the design and production team. As part of our commitment to making the Young Company accessible to everyone, we have launched a group for young people with disabilities who wouldn't otherwise be able to access the regular groups called yc create. It is vital that you have a powerful voice in deciding the company direction, therefore we have established young people's forums for you to voice your ideas. As well as what's going on with the Young Company, Summer Stakeout is open to all young people and involves an exciting mix of masterclasses and workshops for a range of ages during the holidays.
You can also get involved through your school or college. Check out our section
for Schools and Colleges to find out about work experience and other ways we can support your studies,
or if you'd like your teacher to take you on a trip, tell them about our workshops and events for students.
